Rights for Nature: Meet the Movement 25/03/2026 – Strasbourg & Online 17:00 - 18:00

Something is starting. Spring is coming to Europe. Rivers are rising, in more ways than one.

CELT are delighted to be working with a growing number of citizens, lawyers, activists, and organisations from across the continent who are working together to give ecosystems legal rights using one of the most powerful democratic tools the EU has to offer: a European Citizens’ Initiative that, with one million signatures, obliges the Commission to act.

On 25 March, at the HEAR Rivers Festival in Strasbourg, you can meet the lead people behind it. This is an open conversation. Come and hear why we believe Rights of Nature is an idea whose time has come in Europe. Ask us your questions. Meet the partners from more than 10 countries who are already building this movement in their communities. And find out what you can do to be part of it.

The ECI will formally be registered with the European Commission just before the event – the first step on the road to one million signatures
