Children's Print making Workshop

Children will explore basic principles and techniques of printing in a fun and experimental way drawing on the local natural and built environment for materials and inspiration.

Participants will create a collection of different prints to take home with their favourite framed.

DAY 1: Workshop will begin with experimental mono-printing to practically explore the basic concepts of printing.

These skills will developed further through producing and printing a collagraph print block made from found, recycled and natural materials gathered through a nature walk.

DAY 2: Drawing inspiration from the local natural and built environment a foam block print will be created and printed exploring basic registration, over printing and printing on different papers.

Suitable Age Range: 8-12yrs – Printing can be messy, wearing an apron/old shirt is strongly advised.
