Over the course of the weekend you will learn the ancient skill of basket weaving, including the different types of willow used, alongside the numerous other natural materials that can be used to weave with. 

On day one you will learn about the best types of willow for basket making, as well as how to grow and process it for basket making.. You will also make a bread basket/fruit basket. 

On day two you will put some of the skills you learned into making a small basket with a handle. 

If we can and have time we may be able to forage some natural materials that you can weave into your basket. 

The willow to weave your basket will be supplied the cost is €30.  

At the end of the course you will have your 2 baskets to take home with an introduction to willow weaving booklet which covers the basics of what you have learned.
