With Olwyn Williams your tutor,
Have you ever wondered what foods our ancestors may have eaten before the advent of agriculture and supermarkets?
Or what we might eat if global food supply systems collapse?
Come and learn about the wild foods that grow in your garden, the hedgerows and the cracks in the pavements. This workshop is ideal for foodies, gardeners, nature enthusiasts and plant lovers alike. Beginner or non-beginner foragers welcome.
Over the weekend, we will begin to break down the 'green wall', learning the basic botanical skills needed to identify individual plants species and families. We will delve into the myriad ways that you can use these plants in the kitchen and explore the realities of seasonal eating and food as medicine. If you are a gardener, you might find that some of your most vilified weeds are actually highly nutritious foods…
