CELT will host a day at Pete Beaumont's woodland near Killaloe on 2nd March 2024, 10.30am to 3pm.

About The Event
Pete will give a guided walk explaining how he manages the woodland for biodiversity and then we will do some practical coppicing and brash-hedging and Pete will demonstrate some coppice skills. Bring saw, billhook or loppers if you have them, though some will be provided. Boots or wellies and rainwear recommended. Bring snacks, though some sandwiches will be provided along with hot drinks.

At 3pm we will travel to Tuamgraney Community Woodland Wildlife Park where we will plant an oak tree in memory of native woodland specialist and woodcarver Andrew St Ledger who sadly passed away last November and who played a major role in development of this community woodland and was a passionate environmentalist with CELT, Woodland League and the irish Environmental Network.
