Farm Forestry Action Open Day

Join us for a practical day exploring the many ways trees can be integrated into a working farm — from producing valuable timber and firewood to fruit, nuts, mushrooms, honey, livestock shelter and biodiversity.

Taking place at the Slieve Aughty Centre, our family farm, guesthouse and activity centre in Co. Galway, the day will showcase a range of woodland and agroforestry projects already being developed on the farm.

The programme will include practical demonstrations and guided walks covering:

• Broadleaf woodland management and growing quality timber

• Agroforestry and silvopasture for sheep, cattle and horses

• Native woodland establishment and management
