About The Event
We are delighted to host a Dusk Chorus & Bat Walk as part of Biodiversity Week 2026 at Cahermurphy Woodlands with Jamie Durrant, Conservation Ranger with the National Park & Wildlife Services.
This is a really wonderful opportunity to join us for a special evening with Jamie exploring the bird and bat life of the beautiful woodlands of Cahermurphy Nature Reserve, one of the few remnants of Ancient Woodland left in Ireland and of the once Great Forest of Aughty.
Jamie Durrant has been a National Parks and Wildlife Service Conservation Ranger for 5 years. Previous to that he worked for BirdWatch Ireland for over 10 years, first as a fieldworker then as Development Officer, delivering walks, talks and workshops to a wide variety of audiences. He has a lifelong passion for birds and he loves to share his enthusiasm for them.
National Biodiversity Week is all about connecting people…
