About The Event
CELT are delighted to work in partnership with the Tuamgraney Development Association, the Woodland League and the local community in celebrating our 25 years with a special day of Woodland crafts, walks talks and activities.
Our renown Weekend in the Woods now known as Weekend in the Hills Festival of Tradtional Crafts, was inspired by our connection to The Great Forest of Aughty and started in 2001 in the Raheen Wooland,.. This year’s Heritage Week theme of our local Heritage at Risk reflects our concerns, and continues to encourage us to explore the natural and cultural aspects of our heritage that are endangered, and create a space for us to reimagine and revive our ancestral and traditional woodland connections, community rituals and practices.
